For 2011 MTV Movie Awards aired live earlier in the evening, and if you know anything about this award include the show, you'll know it's a popularity contest. The nominated films seem to teenagers and young adults, and winners are determined by demographic characteristics, which, judging by the large amount of Twilight wins every year, I guess it's mostly women.
If you like Twilight, this gala would be good to go for another year so that when the end of the film is released. This year, the vampire franchise movie star Robert Pattinson was practically the star of the series, winner of Male and Best Actor, Best Kiss (with co-star Kristen Stewart), best fight scene (with co-star Bryce Dallas Howard). He was also one of the actors who presented the award Generation Reese Witherspoon.
