14 Dead In Philippine Flash Flood

The Philippines about 40 families fled their homes after a flood generated by the strong rains swept Brgy. Population, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.

The flooding was caused by the defection of river Bulatukan at 5 pm yesterday. No deaths or injuries, they reported the incident.

Some houses of lightweight materials were washed away. Even the chapel of the city was not spared after a hip in deep water.

Resident Virgie Ricoplacion expressed despair after his house and some of their belongings by floods for the second time were washed away.

Brgy. Population was first hit by a flood in 2006.

The affected residents now lives in safer places as the barangay hall and the City Sport school, while some decided to stay in their homes.

The local Government of Magsaysay tell even the cost of the damage caused by the disaster
