While a new iPhone is not expected to be announced this week, the rest of June through Wal-Mart is offering the 16GB iPhone in April for $ 147 or $ 50 more than the usual price of $ 199 a two-year contract.
The price, which began on Monday, applied to both the AT & T and Verizon versions of the iPhone 4. The price of $ 147 on contract is also available for both black and white models.
As usual, the customer must buy a new two year agreement and data wireless or qualified for the subsidized price update.
The deal was announced just hours before Apple’s annual opening Worldwide Developers Conference, half of Apple events usually presents the next generation iPhone. However,
numerous reports have indicated that Apple will unveil a new iPhone at the event this year, the fifth-generation phone later this year due upon arrival.
The length of the Walmart sale until 30 June, can be seen as further evidence that Apple still has no plans for a new iPhone at WWDC opening announce. Typically, a new model of iPhone is available for purchase in the U.S. within a few weeks notice of STIs, and the previous generation model with a lower price.
