In 1958, were Mildred Jeter and Richard Loving newlyweds – a black and white women – charged with violating Virginia’s ban on interracial marriages and expelled from their country of origin. The u. s. Supreme Court finally declares void the law on mixed marriages, June 12, 1967. Yesterday was that the anniversary of Loving v. Virginia decision throughout the country celebrates the day of love.
