Alister & Paine: tell me about your background for the true religion.

Jeffrey Lubell is doing: where to start? Children’s shoes or something else later? Haha. My parents were in the clothing business and I asked my dad if he could work for him. I said that the textile company enter before the production company, so I started to work for a small factory of bathing suits. I asked the coach if there is any way to the comfort of cotton with the properties and rack made of lycra. It led to my company and the next thing I know he had an order for the production of 4000 meters! Some of the questions and getting something enterprising 40 million dollars from a company of 2 million in 28 months spent. One of the things I learned was that no patent of cotton that suits of bath made of Lycra and all over the world.

After I have a 100 million dollar company in polar wool (in less than four years). I was tired of the sand of textile and decided to go into production. My first test I did some crazy things. I started to deb Jeans, taking off and I learned by trial and error. I really learned about the production.

In 2002, had conceptualized where Jeans brand of religion and the brand. My understanding was to do something else. Initially it was just me, myself and I. In the manufacturing industry tend to a collection and you go on the market and selling, then take orders and producing. When I these samples in the machines fell in love with the product and it consumes me so I went and 300,000 dollars of my own money into production without selling a single unit. I said ‘ if I don’t sell this 16,000 pairs of jeans, I must be in the business of jean not. ‘

I went to a customer, Fred Segal, I showed him my collection and so hated. I went over his head and he went to the VP of Knight shopping at Fred Segal, and she hated. I told him that he needed a rest and give me a chance. Not not not not not remain preserved Yes Yes Yes say yes say Yes. 2 hours later it was still in his Office and they gave me the order of a piece of 24 men. When I went to the sale of Fred Segal kids ask if they want to brand. I spent about 5 people selling out to my truck where he had 200 pairs of jeans and says “what you want.” If you give them, put in the suelo.» I went to a few weeks later, and they sold out. That was my entire marketing campaign. Best buy is in the body, not in a print campaign.

Today I have a little more than 150 thousand in the Bank, 100 shops have opened, selling my jeans to 50 countries, with offices in Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Switzerland and Milan. I am now worldwide expansion began in Sales manager retail and wholesale.
