The second heat wave of 2011 will start, with temperatures near 90 degrees and likely to persist for the rest of the week.

Computer models are increasingly pessimistic about the hot streak this week, climbing temps degrees’for for about five each day this week at the latest model to perform. Is now so will the temperature of 90 degrees or more for four days this week, with heat index values ??above 100 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday. I expect highs to be broken in the tri-state within two days.

A public health expert as a dog I say, not necessarily high temperatures during the heat wave are the most dangerous – is the high temperatures are abnormally low. Without the opportunity to recover in the evening, much greater emphasis on the body

that can lead to heat stroke or death. On Wednesday, temperatures will drop to about 80 degrees in the city – highlighting the danger level for heat wave this week. Thursday will be the hottest day of the year so far with the mercury reaching 97 degrees.

Heat waves have been a major cause of weather-related death in the U.S. by the decade of 2050, City of New York could see a 47% to 95% more heat-related deaths per year due to climate change, according to a study by Columbia University published in the American Journal of Public Health. The National Weather Service offers advice on how a heat wave, and a little more information on how to beat the heat wave forecast work.
